Mamma Mia, an ABBA Reunion? ABBA in Virtual Reality?

A virtual reality experience could be around the corner for ABBA fans.

Virtual Reality games are already changing the way that games will be experienced, but could they create a change for the music industry as well? ABBA has recently confirmed that they are going to begin working together with producer Simon Fuller for a special ABBA reunion in 2018.

This long awaited news came only four months after the iconic group performed together in Stockholm at a private gala. Now they are promising that they are going to be bringing a “virtual and live experience” to the rest of the world in little over a year. Could it really be that ABBA plans on bringing their music to people around the globe without even having to go there?

That would be amazing, and something that most ABBA fans will be absolutely thrilled to learn about. While the group hasn’t made any new music recently, new and old fans have a lot to be excited for.

Take a Chance on the ABBA Reunion

The actual project is still in the works. The group says full details about what it all will entail won’t be released until next year. So ABBA fans will have to wait until 2018 to see these legends again. The details are sure to keep die-hard fans enthralled. Even the thought of a virtual reality music experience keeps us on the edge of our seats.

True fans shouldn’t mind how long it takes though for the reunion to happen. Until four months ago, it was almost four decades since the group had gotten together to perform.

Singer Frida Lyngstad said “Our fans around the world are always asking us to reform and so I hope this new ABBA creation will excite them as much as it excites me”, in regards to the project.

The excitement that the project brings to its stars is great encouragement that whatever they have planned is sure to be good. It is hard to be disappointed by ABBA though. Their fans are ones for life as their music easily makes it home within your heart.

In 1992, ABBA was still selling their records by the millions. Their compilation of greatest hits that was released that year has sold over 30 million copies. Mamma Mia has also been a huge success around the world inspiring new generations of fans. Only time will tell what this project will be like and how we will be able to enjoy it.
