The year 2017 has been a year of major changes. Sometimes we have to laugh to keep our minds off of everything that is going wrong in the world. Comedians have plenty of great material to make audiences laugh at themselves and the world around them. Many of them use their own experiences in their acts and that is probably what makes them so successful.
You don’t even have to spend a heap of money on tickets to see a show in person, since many stand-up acts are available on channels like Netflix, HBO, and Showtime. Who can resist a laugh when you don’t have to get dressed up to go out. You can enjoy the antics wearing your sweatpants, while you gorge on pizza and ice cream, washing it all down with diet soda.
It doesn’t matter if you prefer Dave Chappelle, Louis C. K., Jim Gaffigan, or Jerrod Carmichael. Any of them are sure to have you doubled over with laughter. Some talk politics, some about racial differences, while others just talk about themselves. There is just so much to laugh about.
Comedians are willing to put themselves out there for the sake of a few laughs from the audience. They have dedicated themselves to making people around them happy. Now that’s a noble profession. If you’ve had a bad day, try listening to some jokes told by one of your favorite stand-up acts. We are sure they will put a smile on your face and make you forget what was so terrible about your day.
We are midway through the year and already there are some great comedic acts available to make you laugh at the world around you. All you have to do is make your selection, pop some popcorn, sit on the couch and let the comedians do the rest.
Remember, laughter is the best medicine.
