If you are still working a 9 to 5 or are a busy Mom, you may not have a lot of time in the day to dedicate to your blog. It may be your passion project but you might only get a couple hours a day to dedicate to it. So what do you do?
Determine the tasks that grow your blog and the tasks that maintain your blog.
Then decide on what you will work on.
Tasks for growth:
- Writing content
- Reusing old content and making it better.
- Research for product creation
- Making/creating products
- Communicating with your audience
- Marketing tasks
- Website and theme changes
- Scheduling social media
Once you have these categories established it is easier to keep track of them and decide what to work on each day. Do batch work and do not multitask as that takes up more time.
You need to decide:
What is the problem?
What is the solution?
Once you have the answer to these questions, you can create your content to solve a problem for the reader. If you have a good niche, your reader might even pay for the solution.
You may need to outsource some tasks that you can’t get to on your own. Consider using Fiverr, a micro task site for this, like scheduling social media.
Blogging can certainly change your life for the better. It’s a lot of work though, and you can easily burn out. The best way to avoid this is to make the best use of your time. In just a few hours each day with a lot of focus and intention, you can create a successful blog and possibly earn a full-time income. That is the main goal most people who have a blog and should be yours as well. You can do this.
