Love it or hate it (or secretly use it but never admit it), Tinder looks like it’s sticking around for a while. If you’re into swiping left or right and chatting up some new, interesting people in your area, you’ll love the new features that rolled out in a recent July update. If you don’t see the new Tinder updates yet, you will soon, and you’ll probably like the dating app even more.
Easier Photo Browsing
Previously, you tapped on a user’s profile picture if you wanted to see more photos. Then, you were brought to the person’s profile, where you could read their info or swipe through their photos. The new update makes the Tinder experience more like a story-type layout similar to that of Snapchat or Instagram. Now, you can browse through a user’s photos by tapping the left or right side of the screen without ever having to go to the profile. You know, if you’re more interested in the photos than what people have to say about themselves. Photos now take up more space on your screen as you browse and Tinder made it easier than ever to browse through them – not that it wasn’t already pretty simple before. But, hey, it’s all in the name of love.
Get to Know The Tinder Updates Better
Of course, you can still quickly get to a person’s information, too. To do that, simply tap on the bottom of the screen on a profile picture. The app will open up the user’s profile so you can find out everything you wanted to know about her taste in music, what she does on a Friday night, how tall she is. You know, the important things in life. The new updates are what Tinder calls “gestures”. They’re all about keeping everything you love about Tinder while accepting the changing face of some of the most popular social media apps and aligning it all within the dating app. So, now you can tap and swipe to your heart’s content more conveniently than ever before.
