Welcome to Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, 2017 edition. This time we bring you the Louis Vuitton Toilet. And for a measly $100,000, it can be your own personal throne. Artist Illma Gore spent three months creating the potty out of 24 different bags (including a suitcase) valued at $15,000. Although it has never been christened officially, we’re sure if you’re willing to pay, you can break it in.
Apparently, Gore has been known for her outlandish work. She is also responsible for the nude portrait of President Donald Trump and we sure hope it’s not on display anywhere. There are just some things you can’t unsee.
It seems that many DIY artists are obsessed with designer logos so the Louis Vuitton toilet joins the list with Chanel basketballs, a PlayStation with a Louis Vuitton control, a Gucci MacBook, and Gucci monogrammed toilet paper.
We guess the Gucci toilet paper will be the perfect accent to your Louis Vuitton toilet. But wait. Should you use two different designer logos at the same time? We’re not quite sure.
It just goes to show that no matter how absurd the item is, there will always be someone out there willing to buy it.
For those of you interested in sneaking a peek, the designer throne is currently on display at the Tradesy Showroom in Santa Monica, California. So if you’re in the area, drop by and take a look. Just remember, it is on display only and you will not be able to rest your backside on this work of art.
Don’t worry, we are sure the showroom has a restroom that you can actually use if you cannot wait until you get home. After all, a Louis Vuitton toilet is definitely not intended for everyday use by a bunch of looky-loos.
At least, we don’t think so.
